Lebanese University: The contractors are ready to move

The Committee of Contracting Professors at the Lebanese University announced in a statement that, “After the university administration asked the contracting professors to submit applications of full -time until September 15, and since the university has decided to start teaching in the same history, we are interested in asserting that the contracting professors have shown full cooperation and good faith by commitment to submit the required files, despite what they faced from obstacles in most colleges, in order to facilitate the mission of the administration The regularity of the university year and the failure to cause any confusion with its beginning, and that any procrastination or delay in raising the full -time file to the Council of Ministers for approval will place the contracting professors in the position of defending their rights, which may reflect negatively on the regularity of the study.
The committee pointed out that it is awaiting “clear practical steps, which are to raise the file to the government before the beginning of next October, otherwise it will open the door to all trade union options, including the strike and other forms of movement.” Rather, it constitutes a direct threat to the future of the university and its children.
