The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced the signing of major contracts with international companies to develop oil fields in Nasiriyah and Kirkuk, in a move that is evidence of Iraq’s ability to provide an attractive investment environment for oil industries.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil explained during the opening of the third Iraq International Oil and Gas Exhibition, oil projects, licensing and renewable energy tours that during the current government, the Ministry of Oil achieved great leaps in the oil industry at the level of four main sectors that include extraction, liquidation, gas, and the distribution sector. He added that the new contracts include agreements with the Chevron Company for four patch in the Nasiriyah field and the country field, and a contract with the British company BB to invest four fields in Kirkuk, in addition to the GI GIB project for integrated gas development in the Al -Arqawi field, which includes four important projects that include: developing the field to 210 thousand barrels, investing gas to support the national network with a quantity of 600 million cubic feet, and producing solar energy with a capacity of one thousand Megaout, and the use of sea water to injection into the oil machines to compensate for the depleted pressure. Khudair mentioned that the contracts signed in the Artawi field have reached a value so far.
