Investigating an employee in the Beirut Water Corporation and Mount Lebanon … What did he confess?

The General Directorate of State Security – the Department of Media, Guidance and Public Relations issued the following statement: in order to protect public institutions and preserve public money, the Beirut Regional Directorate – Beirut First Office conducted a judicial investigation with the employee (A. Kh) at the Beirut Water Corporation and Mount Lebanon, after information about his receiving sums of money in exchange for facilitating requests to exempt water fees, and providing various services.

During the investigation, he confessed to the fulfillment of money amounting to about $ 2,200 from five citizens, in exchange for paying financial dues and providing illegal services. The full amounts were retrieved and returned to their owners. The legal requirement was conducted against him, according to the competent judiciary reference.
