The source added that the information circulated in some scenes indicates that the army’s report on the plan to limit weapons in the hands of the state includes a tendency to the political leadership of the importance of understanding in order to provide the integrity of the implementation of the plan without any clash or a threat to public stability, and to secure its implementation in a positive way that preserves this stability and leads to targets for the benefit of all Lebanon and the Lebanese.
The source expected the report to include the army’s needs to enhance its capabilities, and it was not excluded that it indicates the need for more than the deadline specified by the decision of the cabinet specified by the end of this year to provide support to the army.

On the other hand, a source close to the government said that “there is no return back after the decisions of the Council of Ministers in the 5 and 7 August sessions.”
He added, “The plan that the cabinet awaits from the army is supposed to include many stages within the framework of the time calendar set by the Council of Ministers.”
And it is expected that the first stage will be in the area of ​​southern Litani and complete what the army started in this region, taking into account the steps that “Israel” is supposed to take in implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
