The death toll from the collapse of an Islamic internal school in Java Province increased to 36 students, after the number is 16 in the previous day, while 27 others are still missing. Search operations continue for the seventh day amid the ruins of Al -Khuzini School in the town of Sidwaro, where rescuers work using heavy cranes and equipment to raise the rubble, in efforts that reached about 60% of the evacuation process, to be completely completed by solutions Monday.

The school collapsed last Monday over hundreds of students while performing the afternoon prayer, after the foundations were unable to bear the ongoing construction work on the upper floors. The authorities indicate that most of the victims of adolescents between 13 and 19 years, while the school dates back to the traditional “perennine” system spread in the country, where Indonesia includes more than 42 thousand Islamic schools sheltering about 7 million students.
