How did the African voice be let down by Mohamed Salah?

After the frustration suffered by the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, with his fourth in the Golden Ball List of the best player for the year 2025, news agencies revealed that African journalists had failed the Egyptian star during the vote.

The Golden Ball Award depends on the voices of accredited journalists, from around the world, each representing his country, and puts voices for the best 5 players in the world for 2025.

Salah’s betrayal

It turned out that the journalists from the continent of Africa directed a strong blow to Mohamed Salah, by removing his lists consisting of “the 5 best players in the world”, while handing them the voices to France Football magazine responsible for presenting the golden ball.

Omar chose the journalist, a representative of the French Senegal, Othman Dembele, followed by the Spanish Spaniard Lamal Yamal and the Brazilian Ravenia Third.

As for Emmanuel, a journalist representing Côte d’Ivoire, he chose Dembele, Yamal, Ravinia, Hakimi, and Girls.

As for the journalist representing Morocco, he chose Yamal, then Hakimi, Dembele and Bidry.

The journalist, the actor for Cameroon Yamal, then Dembele, chose, and Salah was not placed among the 5 best players, while the journalist of Togo Hakimi first chose, and Salah was excluded from the five list.

Salah’s removal from the lists led to his retreat to the fourth place in the final list, despite the Arab support he obtained from some journalists, as well as European support.
