Declaration
After the conclusion of the session, the official decisions were followed, as Prime Minister Nawaf Salam expressed his regret for the departure of the Minister of Justice to express his position, instead of continuing to discuss the issues raised with the ministers. Salam also stressed during the session the importance of enabling the Lebanese who are not residing in the electoral process and expressing their convictions in the simplest possible ways, in a way that ensures a broader representation of different groups of society. He stressed the necessity of studying the budget project with a spirituality based on strengthening revenues and reducing the incredible spending, in a way that contributes to controlling the deficit and achieving a better financial balance.

Regarding the parliamentary elections, the Council agreed, in light of the report of the Ministerial Committee, to assign the Minister of Interior to inform the joint parliamentary committees whose meetings participate in the content of the decision, with the aim of working to correct the defects in the current electoral law.
As for the second item related to the budget project, the Council of Ministers has completed the research in the budget materials and began to discuss them, while suspending some materials pending their study and auditing, provided that the consultations and discussions will be completed tomorrow at three in the afternoon.
