The results of the second round of the vote showed that former Economic Security Minister Sanai Takaychi was the new president of the ruling liberal democratic party in Japan, after receiving 185 votes out of 341.

Takaychi won the support of the majority of the party members from the 47th governorates of Japan, in addition to the current members of Parliament.
Takaychi is likely to become the prime minister of Japan after the resignation of Shikiro Ishiba. (Russia today)
