Female forum in Beirut that re -draws the features of the Arab digital space

The “Al -Moufimbik” hotel in Beirut witnessed over September 16 and 17th, the second edition of the Shift Forum, organized by the “N2TA The Feminist Lab”, in partnership with the “Abaad” organization, under the slogan: “We publish, not to be satisfied, but to change.”
The forum gathered dozens of content makers from various Arab countries, in addition to journalists and work activists over the past years in producing feminist, creative and influential digital content, with the aim of confronting traditional narratives and restoring digital spaces from a perspective that establishes the rights of women. Which prevented us from meeting last year, we are here to complete the road, and to prove that the digital voice is able to move the awareness of society and change public opinion, ”noting that the digital content has become an effective tool for raising issues that are silent. About fifty makers of content from the Arab world participated, and the event was attended by more than 500 people in addition to the online posts, amid a remarkable interaction throughout the sessions. The forum concluded its work by emphasizing the need to continue supporting Arab content makers and journalists, and devoting the presence of women in the digital scene for a more just and comprehensive space.
