Emir of Qatar: We stand by Lebanon

The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, affirmed, during his speech at the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, that his country stands with Lebanon and its constant support for the Lebanese army, calling on Israel to withdraw from Lebanese territory occupied by an obligation to international resolution 1701.
The Emir of Qatar pointed out that Syria is going through a new stage, expressing his hope that this stage will constitute the beginning of the aspirations of the Syrian people towards stability and development. In a related context, the Emir directed sharp criticism to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that the latter “dreams of turning the Arab region into an Israeli influence area”, stressing that Israel is “an anti -surrounding state and vowel in building a system of racist separation and a war of extermination against the Palestinian people.”
