Despite the opposition of Egypt and Sudan .. Ethiopia inaugurates the Renaissance Dam

Ethiopia has officially opened the Renaissance Dam, as the largest electrical power generation project in Africa, at a cost of more than $ 5 billion.
The “Renaissance Dam” project will provide the energy for millions of Ethiopians, while the dispute with Egypt and Sudan will be exacerbated.
Prime Minister Abi Ahmed said that Ethiopia will use energy to improve the access of electricity to citizens, stressing that the dam does not constitute a threat to the two sins. Egypt and Sudan feared that the Renaissance Dam will reduce water supply during droughts, and that it leads to the construction of other dams at the top of the river at a time when Egypt said that building the dam violates water treaties and pose a threat to its existence.
