Dabousi: We support initiatives that contribute to the development of rural societies

The head of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Tripoli and Northern Lebanon, Tawfiq Dabousi, accompanied by the Chamber’s team, visited the town of Selta in the Zgharta district at the invitation of the head of the “Jana Loma” group, Benss Saad Al -Ashqar and Mrs. Carol Saad Marouni. Dabousi was received by the mayor, Dahdah Paul Dahdah and the priest of the parish, John Maroun Hanna, along with a number of social and religious activities in the town.
The visit was started with a tour of the town, which included a preview of maps and the history of a timing and geographical location and its climate, in addition to an explanation by the parish priest about the religious and spiritual heritage and the most prominent clerics who came out of it. The president of “Jana Luma” gave a speech in which she lit the privacy of the town, its geography and natural resources, and the number of residents and spread, in addition to the basic families that form Its social fabric. The tour includes agricultural and tourism stations, most notably visiting the rose farm that is famous for a timing, as the delegation received the fragrant roses scattered in the town. Also, some local farms were stopped and the town’s products were tasted of nannies, dryers, berries and roses. The visit was turned into a dialogue and practical session devoted to trading in the capabilities of local development, and to exchange ideas on how to support the town’s people and enhance its tourism and agricultural resources. Dabousi stressed that “the Greater Tripoli Chamber remains always open to all northern towns, carrying a message of support for youth, For farmers, and for vital initiatives that contribute to strengthening the rural economy and stabilizing people in their land, not saying. ”
