Clarification from the Lebanese University presidency: We work under the roof of laws

The media office at the Lebanese University’s presidency issued the following statement:

In response to what was stated in one of the newspapers, according to which the President of the Lebanese University prevents the opening of the tracks in the Master of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities unless a certain number is secured and this is contrary to the university’s law.
– What was happening previously was a violation of the violations of the laws and decisions regulating the opening of the tracks at the Lebanese University, as it was found that more than 40 specialized paths at the level of the master was included between a student or two students at most, and this was what constituted a violation of the decisions of the university council – and not its president – and the judge not to open any path at the level of the master to less than 12 students, either at the level of The leave is the paths are open to all.
– The application of laws at the Lebanese University is not a severity of anyone, but rather a reform process to prevent academic corruption and waste public money, especially since some masters that included one student often were not present in the teaching halls, which constitutes wasting thousands of fake hours.
– The Lebanese University operates under the roof of laws, decisions and circulars that we hope to view before it is involved in publishing information that encourages corruption to serve the interests of its absolute.
