He added: “The army has developed a comprehensive plan, and the cabinet welcomed it and approved a monthly follow -up mechanism to implement it, and therefore there is no room to talk about a decline.” Salam denies the existence of the so -called “defense strategy”, explaining that “talking is about an integrated national security strategy that includes military, security and economic aspects, and the government has adhered to in its statements. He needs more material support and raising the salaries of its members, ”noting that Lebanon aspires to hold a new international conference to support the army, similar to the Rome conference, and reminded of the promises made by French President Emmanuel Macron in this regard.
