Bayeradarian discussed the role of civil aviation in supporting air sports

After the recent incidents of Paragliding in Lebanon, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Nora Bayerdarian, received yesterday, Monday, a specialist in air dynamics, chairman and general manager of Lebanon Trade and Industry Company (CIEL) and Vice President of Boeing Company, Dr. Salah Rustam, accompanied by CEO of CILE Rima Harb.

The visit focused on discussing the role of civil aviation in facilitating and directing air sports, as Dr. Rustom provided valuable information about the impact of climatic and air conditions on these sports, especially paragliding. The Minister also contacted the Civil Aviation Department to discuss the installation of special sensors in the areas of takeoff and landing to monitor weather conditions, especially the speed of air, and it was agreed to establish a quick training course followed by a professional course in this field.
