Basil: We did not stand with Hizbul

The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, Representative Gibran Bassil, responded during the annual dinner of the Chouf Judicial Authority, to those who say that the current gave a political cover to Hezbollah, saying: “I assure him that we have preceded it for a long time.”

Basil said: “We did not stand with Hizbullah, but we stood in the face of the Israeli,” Basil said.
He considered that “Syria is not entitled to demand us to prisoners, but rather we are the one who has the right to talk about the rights of the Lebanese people, and we cannot forget the blood of the Lebanese army because of which it fell.” He pointed out that “the government is unable to reform the country and ensure the independence of the judiciary.”
