Awareness of prostate cancer from the classic car gate

Prostat cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in men, affecting one out of almost every eight around the world. Despite its danger, the healing rates increase significantly at early diagnosis through periodic tests. Therefore, awareness campaigns have become an urgent necessity to break the social silence on this disease, and to encourage men to conduct the examination periodically as a basic preventive step, especially after the age of fifty or in the event of a family history with the disease.
In this context, Lebanon is witnessing a remarkable event that carries a human and civilized dimension under the title: “The Disingushed Gentleman’s Drive – Beirut 2025 ″, and will be held on Sunday 28 September. Participants will start from Hazmiyya through high to Sofer, where the basic gathering will be. The goal is dual: awareness about prostate cancer. Men’s psychological health, as well as collect donations to support humanitarian initiatives in this field.
In a special interview with “Lebanon 24”, the activity organizer Nader Jbeili explained that choosing this timing is not a coincidence, as it coincides with a global date for the same effectiveness that is organized in more than 100 cities around the world through the same day. Jbeili says: “In this way, we link Beirut to the world and put Lebanon on the international map of this activity.
On the participants, Jbeili reveals that the event is dedicated to rare classic and phenomena lovers, members of Beirut Gentlemen Drivers and his friends from various Lebanese regions. The cars are chosen by recording in advance and ensuring that they conform to effectiveness standards, in addition to the commitment of the participants to wear the elegant and classic dress that distinguishes the activity globally. And he confirms that these criteria aim to preserve the identity of the event and highlight a civilized and upscale image of Lebanon.
As for the basic message, Jbeili summarized it by saying: “Society is able to support humanitarian issues in sophisticated and attractive ways, which combines a passion for cars with a spirit of solidarity. We want to say that Beirut and Lebanon, despite the challenges, are still present, and are able to be part of a global movement that gives hope and shows a bright image of our society.”
“We also seek to break the stigma about men’s psychological and physical diseases, and to encourage awareness and early examination,” he added.
With this mixing between the passion of classic cars and the humanitarian mission, the activity turns into more than one car show: It is an explicit invitation for men to face their concerns and accept early detection of prostate cancer, as a step that may save life.
