At the beginning of a tour in the villages of Baabda district … Basil from Al -Qasaybah: To cooperate between all to achieve regional development

The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gibran Bassil, began his tour in the villages of Baabda district and started it with the visit of the Monastery of Mar Jojius in Al -Qusayba, where he listened to an explanation about the history of the church.

Then he moved to the Monastery of Saint Veronica Juliani, where he was an explanation of her life and biography.
Sister Clara pointed out that “the life of Veronica Juliani was full of piety.” She said: “Veronica told us that she saw hell not to frighten people but to alert them to prayer, and the rosary is a security belt and where we are from prayer and faith, and the handling is important and when you eat and we are not in the state of sin, the family is fortified.”
The town’s coordinator, Elie Naima, welcomed the attendees, and then it was a speech by the mayor of Al -Qusayba, Eli Salloum, in which he welcomed Basil, indicating that Al -Qasaybah provided a lot to the current, and called for help in developing the town.
Basil pointed out that Lebanon is deprived, but a person can help wherever he is, and of course this is achieved when people meet each other and the will is available. He added: Today we are in the Baabda area in a new stage and new challenges.
Basil stressed: During 15 years, we did not surrender, but we resisted, and in the year 2005 we entered the state and we were a spearhead in defending the rights of Christians, and when we entered the government, we no longer talking to these rights because the Christians achieved the correct representation.
Basil stressed that Christians should know that they are facing challenges and they must live with the other without melting it, and added: What we have done is that we made a reference for the Christians with the power of their presence and we presented the good model to represent them.
Basil pointed out that what happened in Syria is an example of our warnings, and whoever screams in the file of the presence of Christians in the region is us, and we will remain so. He pointed out that the development in Batroun has been fulfilled over the years, and that every day there is a workshop in the city, calling for the exploitation of production in the region in order to recover the economy and tourism in the villages, including Al -Qusaybah.
Basil is accompanied by the tour of the Vice President for Political Affairs, Martin Najm Ketili and Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Ghassan Khoury.
