America condemns the Houthi arrests of 600 Yemenis during the year

On Sunday, the American embassy in Yemen condemned the campaign of arrests launched by the Houthis against the Yemenis who commemorated the anniversary of the September 26 revolution. The embassy said in its account on the social networking site “X”, “We strongly condemn the illegal arrests implemented by the Houthi terrorist group against more than 600 Yemenis this year, because of their revival of the anniversary of the September 26 revolution, which is the occasion that is celebrated 63 years ago.”

The embassy pointed out that “these actions are a flagrant disregard for basic freedoms and the rights of the Yemeni people in honoring their history and traditions.”
