
The Minister of Environment, Dr. Tamara Al -Zain, announced that “after the destruction left by the Israeli Adwan and the resulting tons of rubble, we launch in the Ministry of Environment a road map to manage the rubble in a sustainable manner, in order to protect health and the environment, and most importantly preserving social fabric as a priority around which every reconstruction process revolves.”
She said: “The rubble administration is not only a technical issue, but rather an issue that affects public health, preserving the environment and protecting the social fabric, and constitutes an essential entrance to drawing the features of recovery and reconstruction.” A report attached to the maps on this issue clarified that “the war left more than 16 million tons of rubble in 17 districts, and that the rubble in its danger threatens public health and harms the environment and shakes the social fabric.” The goals of the Ministry of Environment in the numbers is to re -use 70 percent of the aggregate through the circular economy, and the safe disposal of 30 percent of the aggregate in rehabilitating the quarries.
