Al -Sayed: A step towards a national and sustainable social protection system in Lebanon



The Minister of Social Affairs, Hanin El -Sayed, wrote, through her account on the “X” platform: “Today we have started paying cash transfers of approximately 30,000 beneficiaries of the cash allowance program for persons with disabilities, with the expansion of coverage with funding from the Lebanese budget to include children and the elderly. This step is a basic station in the path of building a national and sustainable social protection system, based on inclusion and not to exclude any category. A national program, funded by the general budget, and integrated into the policies and regulations of the state, reflecting Lebanon’s firm commitment to human rights.
