Airbus outperforms Boeing

This achievement came after the delivery of a new A320neo aircraft to Saudi Flynas on Monday-Tuesday night, bringing the total number of aircraft delivered from the series to 12,260 aircraft since it entered service in 1988.
This figure represents the end of a four-decade race between Airbus and Boeing for the top spot in the narrow-body aircraft market, which is the backbone of air transport operations around the world.
Demand for the A320 and 737 has surged in recent years, driven by Asia’s rapid economic growth and expanding middle class, adding tens of millions of new passengers annually.
The two companies combined have delivered more than 25,000 aircraft of this category since their launch, but Airbus was able to maintain a high production pace, especially after Boeing’s decline following the crisis following the attacks of December 11, 2001 and the 737 MAX accidents.
With this achievement, Airbus consolidates its position as the largest aircraft manufacturer in the world in terms of the number of annual and cumulative deliveries, confirming the success of its industrial model based on the partnership between France, Germany, Spain and Britain, which overcame early disagreements to transform the company into a symbol of European industrial superiority.
