After the earthquake … Did the Trump administration provide aid to Afghanistan?

Two former senior US officials and an informed source told Reuters that although about a week has passed since the earthquake that killed more than 2,200 people in Afghanistan and left tens of thousands of shelter, the United States did not take the first step towards allowing emergency aid, and it was not clear whether it was planning to provide any aid.
The former source and officials explained that Washington’s failure to respond to one of the worst earthquakes in Afghanistan in terms of the number of dead years, reflects President Donald Trump’s abandonment of the leadership of the United States in global relief efforts from disasters, through his great discounts of foreign aid and the closure of the main US Foreign Aid Agency. The American Agency for International Development has ended its official work last Tuesday.
