Former US National Security Adviser John Bolton criticized President Donald Trump’s policy towards the Ukraine war, after the FBI agents of his home and his office in the Washington region last Friday.
In an article published by the Washington Eczaminer, Bolton described the raid of his house and his office as “coherent”, noting that Trump’s policy towards Ukraine was not more organized or clear on Friday, compared to the time when these raids were carried out. He added that the negotiations are collapsing amid confusion and wheel, and may be in its last moments, as is the case of the Trump campaign for the Nobel Peace Prize. Bolton explained that the administration tried to hide this confusion behind public media leaflets, pointing to Trump’s comparison to accuse Russian President Vladimir Putin with what US Vice President Richard Nixon did during the famous “discussion of the kitchen” with Khrushchev. Bolton added that the reason for comparing Trump is unclear, but he pointed out that this explains the scale of chaos in American policy. Bolton also pointed out that Trump was confirming that Ukraine could only achieve victory by launching attacks inside Russia, while his Ministry of Defense was prevented from carrying out missile strikes, which opposed the Biden administration policy. Bolton considered the acceleration of Trump’s anger last week to resolve the Ukrainian -Russian conflict was one of several major mistakes, which made it difficult for a ceasefire agreement or a comprehensive peace agreement. It is mentioned that Bolton held the position of National Security Adviser in the Trump administration’s first for a year and a half, before leaving in 2019 after a sharp dispute with the president. Investigations aimed at raiding his house and his office to know whether Bolton had participated or possessed secret information illegally, or offended it. Bolton confirmed in 2020 that he did not keep any secret documents after leaving the White House, and that he destroyed all the notes of his work there.
