A reminder from the Ministry of Finance for all those charged with taxes and fees

In a statement, the Ministry of Finance renewed “the alert that was on August 1, 2025, to all those charged with taxes and fees achieved by the Public Finance Directorate and the fees that the Customs Administration meets, from the consequences of committing the crime of tax evasion, and confirmed its call to them that they must adhere to their tax obligations, and also confirmed that it will be tightened in taking the necessary legal measures to combat evasion The tax, including those related to the lifting of banking secrecy when it is proven to be the existence of this evasion, in addition to imposing criminal penalties stipulated in the relevant laws.
The Ministry stated with what is stipulated in Law No. 44 dated 24/11/2015 and its amendments (Act of Combating Money and Financing Terrorism), as tax evasion according to Lebanese laws is considered among the crimes stipulated in Law 44 referred to.
