A new Lebanese medical achievement in the United States of America!

Once again, Lebanese people excel abroad, who recognize their achievements and make them the right man in the right place.

This is what happened with Dr. Jamil Burji, a native of the town of Amioun, Koura, who was appointed Head of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Tulane University Hospital, New Orleans, USA. Among his duties, Dr. Burji will re-establish the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Tulane University Hospital, New Orleans, and as a lecturer in surgery, he will work as Head of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

It is worth noting that in 2018, Dr. Burji returned to Lebanon, where he performed the first double lung transplant and the first pulmonary endarterectomy, leading to the establishment of a terminal pulmonary surgical program at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
