A Lebanese -high Iraqi meeting between the rug and the Sudanese

The Minister of Economy and Trade, Dr. Amer Al -Bassat, met the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shi’a Al -Sudani, where the meeting dealt with ways to enhance brotherly relations and strategic cooperation between Lebanon and Iraq.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Al -Bassat expressed “Lebanon’s deep gratitude for Iraq’s fixed positions beside it in the darkest conditions and crises that he passed.”
1. Action of the Free Economic Zone Agreement between Lebanon and Iraq signed in 2002, which has not yet been activated, because of its importance in stimulating the commercial and investment movement.
2. Securing the arrival of the Iraqi gift from wheat and the mechanisms for delivering it to Lebanon, while stressing the importance of expediting its delivery smoothly and easily.
3. Complete work on the oil program for goods and services through a practical mechanism for payment,
4. Facilitating the establishment of Lebanese businessmen in Iraq and granting them multiple entry visas, in order to allow the development of investments and the expansion of partnerships between the two countries. The Iraqi Prime Minister has expressed great interest in these files, and gave directives to accelerate their implementation and overcome any obstacles, stressing that “Iraq is keen to continue its support for Lebanon and deepen the bilateral partnership at all levels.”
