A European invitation to an immediate ceasefire in Gaza



On Friday, the foreign ministers of Germany, France and Britain condemned the Israeli raids that targeted the Qatari capital, Doha, on September 9th, stressing that it constitutes “a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a danger to the stability of the region.”
The three ministers warned in a joint statement that these strikes undermine efforts to reach a negotiating agreement that would secure the release of all hostages and end the war in Gaza, calling on all parties to intensify efforts to pass an immediate end of fire. They also affirmed their “full” support for Qatar’s role in mediation efforts in cooperation with Egypt and the United States, stressing that the priority should remain the end of the war permanent Humanitarian aid to Gaza.
