A difficult night for thousands of students … and the Ministry “Silent”: Is there today’s results?

The tension and anxiety of thousands of high school students and their families took off yesterday evening, after the spread of unofficial information stating that the results of official exams in their four branches (life sciences, general sciences, meeting and economics, literature and humanities) will be announced today, Friday.
This was accompanied by rumors that talked about the intention of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to announce the results during the night hours, as well as the custom in previous years during the era of the former minister, Abbas Al -Halabi. However, what increased the level of anxiety was the absence of any official clarification until the time of preparing this report, which opened the door to more speculation and analyzes.
In light of this foggy scene, tens of thousands of Lebanese families awaited the issuance of an official statement by the ministry that clearly determines the date and mechanism of announcing the results. Until the moment, no official communication was issued, which made the last night long and heavy over many.
Night without sleep … and tight nerves
Lima, the mother of one of the students, said in an interview with “Libanon Debayette”: “I did not taste sleep. I stayed throughout the night, watching social media, pending a statement from the ministry, showing the date of the results.
As for Miral, a student in the literary branch, she spent her night on the sofa in the salon, and she fell asleep and she was “defiled” with the results, as she put it, asking about the reason for the Ministry of Education’s delay in putting an end to the state of indiscriminate anticipation that students and their families live.
These two models summarize the feelings of thousands of families who found themselves victims of the absence of any official communication, amid the escalation of rumors and the circulation of fake times on communication platforms.
The ministry is silent … and a source explains
In an attempt to investigate the truth, an informed source in the Ministry of Education confirmed to “Libanon Debate” that “all the traded dates are inaccurate and are not based on an official decision,” noting that “the work is still ongoing since the early morning hours to collect exam marks and check them in preparation for issuing the final results.”
The source pointed out that the results of the “Life Sciences” and “Sociology and Economy” were completely completed, while the works are currently completing the results of the “General Sciences” and “Arts and Humanities”.
The source suggested that the results were issued this afternoon, Friday, and a maximum morning tomorrow, Saturday, stressing that an official statement will be announced as soon as the final audit and review were completed.
Signs of joining under research
And on the possibility of the adoption of the “Al -Saksaqa mark” for some branches, the source indicated that this decision is taken after calculating the general success rates, which is from the authority of the Ministry’s Director General in coordination with the minister, adding: “It is early to decide in this regard before the results are completed for all branches.”
Calls for transparency and communication
On the other hand, a large number of families appealed to the Ministry of Education to show transparency and effective communication, by issuing a clear statement that determines the date of announcing the results accurately, to spare students and their families more tension and absurd anticipation.
At a time when the eyes are still on the Ministry’s official website and electronic platforms, the question remains: When does this situation end of anxiety and confusion? Does the ministry remedy the absence of communication, and put an end to the open waiting situation?
The answer may be carried by the coming hours … or perhaps more silence.
