The Xinhua News Agency reported that the phone call between Chinese President Xi Jinping and his American counterpart Donald Trump was characterized by constructive, practical and positive nature.

The conversation took place, this evening, amid an escalating commercial and strategic tensions between the two countries, and it was a major anticipation. It will benefit them and the whole world. Trump announced his approval to meet Xi Jinping during the summit of the Asian Economic Cooperation Forum and the Pacific “APEC” in South Korea between October 30 – November 1 of this year. Trump also referred to his intention to visit China early next year, explaining that Xi Jinping will visit the United States also “at the appropriate time.”
