Nasser Al -Din continues his meetings in Doha

The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nasser Al -Din, continued his visit to Qatar and held a series of meetings during his participation in the World Mental Health Summit held in the Qatari capital, Doha.
In this context, a meeting was held with the Minister of Public Health in Qatar, Mr. Mansour bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, in the presence of the Chargé d’Affairs of the Lebanese Embassy in Qatar, Mr. Shantan, and the accompanying delegation, and an official delegation from the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar. Talks centered on ways to enhance cooperation in the field of health, and Minister Nasser Al -Din began to thank the State of Qatar for its continuous support for Lebanon at all levels, especially the health level. The advanced Lebanese experiences in this field are highlighted. In the regard of emergency health conditions, Minister Nasser Al -Din requested the support of the State of Qatar in the reconstruction of hospitals and primary health care centers that were partially affected or fully destroyed by the recent war on Lebanon, stressing “the urgent need to restore the full operational capacity of these vital facilities.” Also, Minister Nasser Al -Din, Director General of the Qatar Development Fund (QFD) met Mr. Fahd bin Hamad Al -Sulaiti at the Fund’s headquarters in Doha. The research dealt with ways to enhance the strategic partnership to support the Lebanese health sector. Minister Nasser Al -Din Al -Sayed Al -Sulaiti thanked the “continuous support provided by the fund, especially the support provided in recent years for government hospitals in fuel in addition to financing the establishment of a new building for the government hospital in Karnina.” The research included the possibility of implementing a project to restore and qualify the Shah Rafik Hariri Governmental Hospital, in order to complement the talks that took place on this file during the recent visit by the Fund’s delegation to Lebanon. Executive to conclude a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Public Health and the Qatar Fund for Development, where Minister Nasser Al -Din expressed the Ministry’s readiness to share its expertise with the fund, especially in the areas of crisis management, disasters and epidemics, with the aim of enhancing knowledge exchange between the two sides.
