The Minister of Displaced Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence Affairs, Dr. Kamal Shehadeh, participated in a dialogue session within the activities of the “Higher Inclusion for Sustainable Economy” conference, along with MPs Najat Saliba Aoun and Qablan Qablan, and the director of the Middle East Technical Assistance Center (Metac), Monic Newiac.
Shehadeh stressed, during his intervention, “the importance of establishing a ministry specialized in technology and artificial intelligence,” stressing “the need to introduce these modern services in all public departments to improve performance and raise the efficiency of administrative work, in a way that contributes to building a sustainable and more comprehensive economy.” Shehadeh also presented “some of the basic tasks of the ministry, including designing national policies and strategies for digital transformation and artificial intelligence, enhancing the digital infrastructure of the state, and launching Training programs for human cadres in public administrations. Shehadeh revealed “the start of the first stages of practical training by organizing training courses for the employees of the Ministry of Displacement and the Central Fund for Displacement, as a first step that will be followed by extensive programs that include other public institutions.” He considered that “technology is not luxury, but rather a basic pillar for the advancement of public administration and the achievement of sustainable development.” (National Agency)
