After the water poisoning incident in Majidiya – Hasbaya .. The Ministry of Agriculture moves immediately

Based on what was circulated on social media about the incident of water poisoning in the Al -Majida region – Hasbaya district and the resulting death of wild animals and livestock, the Ministry of Agriculture moved decisively in direct directions from His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Nizar Hani.
The Ministry assigned the Nabatiyeh Agriculture Authority – the Department of Rural Development and Natural Resources to follow up on the issue, as the Harj Hasbaya Center initiated a field patrol that conducted a sensitive statement on the site. The inspection showed that one of the farmers (S/G) submitted the water poisoning and put it in the vessels and distributed it in the region, which caused severe environmental and animal damage. On the effect, an official seizure report was organized against the violator and was referred to the Environmental Public Prosecution in Nabatiyeh, which started the investigation. It turned out later that this is not the first time, as it was recorded in previous periods of livestock, wild animals and birds as a result of water pollution with toxins. He also pointed out that the ministry is working in cooperation with the judicial authorities and municipalities to pursue everyone who tamper with natural resources or offends its use, in order to preserve the health of citizens and preserve the biological diversity. This step comes within the ministry’s policy in perpetuating the concept of responsible and sustainable agriculture, and enhancing control over any illegal practices that threaten the environment or agricultural and animal production.
