The South Lebanon Water Corporation announced the start of experimental pumping from Al -Hawa Station – Bint Jbeil, after its fully rebuilt and rehabilitated in partnership with UNICEF, in preparation for restarting it with a complete ability after a stopping long since the last Israeli Adwan, who completely destroyed it.
The Foundation explained that the pumping is currently taking place towards two treasury of 2000 cubic meters and 500 cubic meters, connected to the network that feeds the city of Bint Jbeil and a number of villages and towns through the written bint Bint Jbeil – Ain Ain.
Rebuilding the main tank with a capacity of 500 m³ and linking it to the existing large tank (2000 m) at a distance of 70 meters.
Pumping equipment: Installation of 3 new pumps and maintenance of 4 old pumps to ensure operating flexibility.
Control systems: updating panels and adopting a more advanced system in a new control room ready for modern technologies.
Infrastructure: rehabilitation of concrete installations, electrical installations, and electronic parts maintenance.
– Comprehensive maintenance of cables, distribution keys, and all internal networks associated with the station. The Foundation added that it will complete during the coming days linking the station to the footsteps of Ain Apple and Bint Jbeil, confirming that this project represents a strategic step towards the regularity of water nutrition in the district of Bint Jbeil and its surroundings. It considered that restarting the station falls within the framework of a series of projects to rehabilitate the vital facilities that were damaged Al -Awwan, in partnership with international organizations, enhances the resilience of the people and improves the continuity of basic services.
