LIFE Organization brings together Lebanese expatriates: to support Lebanon and its people in the midst of war and move forward

 LIFE has taken a proactive step to play an effective guiding role by providing platforms and opportunities for Lebanese people around the world to communicate, interact, and provide support, based on its full awareness of the profound impact of the war.

LIFE continually reflects the power of unity through its innovative, cross-border initiatives that affirm the cohesion of the Lebanese community in times of adversity.

Recently, she hosted a pitching event known as “ Pitch Night ” in New York, specifically for Lebanese entrepreneurs. This is an event she holds regularly, but this time it had a special meaning. This meeting became a gathering point for entrepreneurs, investors, and supporters, and a platform to unify efforts towards a common goal. In addition to presenting innovative ideas for eight startups and supporting entrepreneurship, the latter carried deep meanings, as it strengthened the spirit of solidarity among the attendees, in light of the war that is destroying Lebanon and killing its people, and urged them to unite in times of hardship. It also emphasized the strength of unity and commitment to the community and encouraged individuals to support each other and renew their collective resolve in these difficult times.

On the occasion, LIFE Executive Director Zeina Mehanna said: “It is encouraging to see the solidarity taking place in the Lebanese community during these difficult times.”

She continued: “The event held by LIFE   to showcase ideas has gone beyond its framework to become a comprehensive expressive platform, working to achieve a future full of unity and hope for the country.”

“  LIFE  is a vital intermediary connecting the Lebanese community around the world to their homeland, recognizing the scarcity of reliable information outside Lebanon and the strong desire of the Lebanese community to assist. It also works to answer direct inquiries related to providing support, through a series of “ Engage and Act ” webinars that it holds online in partnership with LebNet and ILMA USA, ensuring that its global network of members, donors, and partners remains informed and enables them to participate effectively,” she added.

She continued: “In this context, the coordinator of the Lebanese Emergency Committee, the caretaker Minister of Environment, Nasser Yassin, who was hosted by LIFE in the last session held, provided key insights into the government’s emergency response plan and the commitments made at the recent conference in Paris.”

“ LIFE has previously hosted NGOs such as Beit El Baraka, the Lebanese Red Cross, Arcenciel , and Rowad in similar online webinars as part of an ongoing series, which will continue with additional episodes in the future. These collaborations have enabled Lebanese expatriates to access vital information on how to donate, how to help with emergency relief efforts, and how to contribute to the rebuilding of their communities.  LIFE reinforces its commitment to supporting Lebanon as a vital bridge, helping expatriates get back to their roots, and empowering them to take effective steps in these uncertain times,” she said.

She pointed out that “the ” Engage and Act ” series of online seminars has attracted the attention of more than 700 people so far, reflecting the strong desire within the Lebanese community to learn about what is happening in their country and support it.”
