In a statement, the “fiscal policy that the government pursued in the budget draft of the discussion, which came as disappointing and contradictory to the aspirations of the Lebanese who waited for reform steps that restore confidence and promotes the national economy.”

The association appealed to Prime Minister Nawaf Salam “a review of the file of employment within the government owners, as the ministries and public administrations became almost free of employees after referring a large part of them to retirement without appointing alternatives to their centers.” And she saw that “this reality reflected negatively on the citizen who suffers from the two things to conduct his transactions, and it is feared that this intentional approach will be in advance to impose privatization in a chaotic and ill -considered manner in a way that serves interests and favoritism at the expense of the public interest.”
And she saw that “these policies reflect the lack of sound economic and social vision and transform the budget from a tool for the advancement and reform into a tool to increase the burdens and suffering of the citizen.” And she saw that “continuing this approach will only lead to more economic shrinkage, the migration of young energies, and the lack of confidence between the state and its citizens.”
The government called for “a comprehensive review of this project, setting national priorities based on social justice, and approving fair increases for salaries and pensions, instead of sufficiency in the tax policies that prove their failure year after year.”
