Cooperation, partnership and exchange of experiences between Al -Hikma University and the University of Lyon Catholic University

In the context of strengthening cooperation and consolidating relations with major universities, the President of the University of Al -Hikma, Professor George Naama and President of Lyon Catholic University, Professor Gregory and Lumbe, signed a memorandum of understanding that established a comprehensive partnership on academic, research, developmental and cultural levels, its extent to include students, professors and administrative body.
The signing ceremony was attended by the accompanying delegation of the President of Lyon Catholic University and members of the University of Al -Hikma Council. Professor Nima drew in his speech to many common points in the historical path of the two universities that were established in the same year 1875 and celebrated the centenary of the 150th of this year. He said that the University of Al -Hikma is distinguished between the Catholic universities in Lebanon, with its direct association with the Maronite Bishop of Beirut, as the patriotic sponsor of Bishop Paul Abdel Sater is the university crown prince. He continued that there are many challenges on universities, and cooperation with the University of Lyon Catholic University constitutes an opportunity to confront these challenges with joint programs and visions. Professor Nima emphasized that the Memorandum of Understanding comes in the context of the university’s endeavor to expand its international academic relations network and its partnership The two academies to form an elite contributing to playing a role in the stability and development of society. He also pointed out that the Catholic University of Lyon seeks to document links with other university institutions, confirming the work on ambitious projects that contribute to pushing students to develop and build the future.
