Technology used against Iran … an exciting report!

The Asia Times published a new report in which it spoke about advanced technology that affects wars and intelligence, and was used during America’s bombing of the Iranian Fordo nuclear facility during the month of June.

The report says that “advanced technology is spectral sensor technology, and it started as a scientific and civil tool half a century ago, and today it turned into a strategic pillar affecting wars and intelligence, as commercial satellites are able to reveal details that were exclusive to governments.”
The report pointed out that the beginning was on the Landsat program in 1972, which provided 30 -meter pictures.
He stated that “Landsat photos in the 1980s revealed Soviet missile and nuclear sites, which were not known, and the study of the Norwegian Institute for International Affairs in 1986 proved the ability of these images to monitor sensitive bases in the Cola Peninsula.”
The report said that the greatest development was in 2021 when the Orbital CEDIC company in San Francisco launched a small constellation of ghost, which provides very accurate spectral photography, used in agriculture, monitoring environmental changes, and infrastructure, but it also has sensitive military applications such as camouflage detection and identification of chemical weapons fingerprints.
The report added that the project had the direct support from the US Air Force, which reflects Washington’s awareness of its strategic value in the field of future conflicts.
The report said that “the United States launched last June, a wide operation known as the midnight hammer against the Fordo nuclear facility near the Iranian Qom,” explaining that “the facility was built inside a fortified mountain, and was designed to include about 3 thousand central expelling devices, with a fertilization rate of 83.7%, that is, the necessary level to make a nuclear weapon.”
The report pointed out that “the blow was with the B-2 ghost launchers loaded with the super-fortified GBU-57 bombs, and focused on the ventilation holes,” adding that “the first attack targeted the destruction of the concrete layers, while the second wave focused on the detonation of the deep halls under the ground.”
Also, the report clarified that the official assessments were contradictory, as some American officials confirmed that the facility was “completely destroyed”, while other reports indicated that the Iranian nuclear program had only a few months.
The report stated that Israel announced that the damage was “very eloquent”, but the leaks of the US Defense Intelligence Agency reduced the size of the losses, noting that the effect may be temporary. The report said that OSK played a pivotal role in resolving the controversy, as it used its spectral images and the technology of analysis with the main components to remove the confusion and enhance details.
The report also clarified that the analysis revealed the types of concrete that the explosions threw into the surface, as well as a landing with an area of 315 x 275 meters, which is a strong indication of the collapse of underground infrastructure, indicating that the company launched its mission to “verify the invisible aspects”, while confirming that the Fordo facility has suffered severe damage that could reach complete destruction.
The report pointed out that the incident reveals the deep shift in satellite sensing technology. Thanks to artificial intelligence and specialized databases, commercial satellites have become able to provide accurate information that was in the past the monopoly of state intelligence services.
Also, the report says that the commercial nature of these systems also makes them available to opponents, which may reshape the nature of wars, methods of collecting information and managing conflicts in the future. (24)
