
The “Cultural House – Square” organized in cooperation with the Ambassador High School, a scientific workshop entitled “A Journey to the Moon”, coinciding with the eve of the overall eclipse of the moon, presented by the Safir Astronomy Club with the participation of 15 male and female students between the ages of 10 and 15 years from the southern Surba town and neighboring towns: Tanburit, Aqqun, Romain, Gerges and Al -Fawqa, in the presence of Mukhtar Sarba Antoine Nassar and the supervisors of the House of Culture – Serbs Mona Rizk, Jean Mazhar and the official of the Astronomical Astronomical Club, Muhammad Al -Shami.
During the workshop on the moon, students learned about the planets, its scientific characteristics, stages, phases, and effects on some natural phenomena on Earth, as they tried to monitor it directly through the telescope. The club used multiple educational figures and tools, including a laxative ball to show the sun’s reflection on the moon, and the materials of flour and cocoa to embody the fall of meteorites and drill on its surface, along with a booklet that guarantees entertaining and purposeful activities such as coloring different drawings of the moon. The students also made an introductory tour of some planets within the solar system, on a virtual educational journey designed to stimulate their imagination and understand their location in the universe, starting from the universe, starting from the universe, starting from Their awareness is that the globe is just a point in this broad space. The club official, Mohamed Al -Shami, said that the activity contributes to expanding students ’perceptions and motivating them to look at the top and take care of science away from daily details and small problems. Mona Rizk added that the workshop collected students from Serbs and neighboring towns, and was rich in activities, using various educational tools, and achieved a great interaction among students who spent more than two hours in learning and discovering, while maintaining a smile of joy on their faces all the time, reflecting the success of the workshop. Her colleagues have the opportunity to recognize the moon and gain valuable information in a simplified and entertaining way and at the same time easy to understand. The Ambassador Secondary Administration, represented by its director, Dr. Sultan Nasser Al -Din, thanked her support, and noted the great role of the Astronomy Club official, Mohamed Al -Shami, in the success of the activity.
