The sons of the town of Maroun Al -Ras in southern Lebanon issued a statement in which they rejected “any attempt to remove the rubble of the destroyed houses,” considering that “this rubble is not just scattered stones, but rather a living witness to the crimes of the Israeli Adwan.”

The people continued: “We categorically reject a Zionist refusal of the process of removing the rubble within the framework of its expansionary ambitions and its plans to establish insulating areas or seizing the ground under security or development excuses. We confirm that every inch of Maroun Al -Ras dirt is the property of his family, and that any emptying of the land from the rubble is a direct facilitation of these ambitions. And the land that is occupied, even in the knees, remains a witness to the identity and the truth.
He continued: “We will not accept that our wound turns into a beauty workshop in the hands of the aggressor, so keeping the rubble in its place is a permanent condemnation document | to the country and a reminder to the future generations of the price that we paid for the sake of dignity and sovereignty. Therefore, we demand our Lebanese state to assume its national responsibilities in protecting our rights and rejecting any external interference aimed at changing the borders of our town or emptying it or deducting parts of it, as we call everyone to everyone Respecting the will of the people and not being dragged behind the apparent projects of relief and the interior of the convincing displacement and adaptation.
He concluded: “We are in Maroun Al -Ras remaining, and the rubble of our homes remains, and our land will remain a witness to the heel. So we return to it, dear free.
