The Sudanese army announced today, Sunday, its response to a new attack by the Rapid Support Forces on the city of Al -Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, in the west of the country, amid continuous battles for months.
The rapid support forces attacks on El -Fasher have been repeated weeks ago, despite the siege imposed on the city since May 10, 2024, amid international warnings of the danger of battles as the center of humanitarian operations for the five states of Darfur. The United Nations announced on Friday that at least 89 people were killed within 10 days, as a result of attacks attributed to the Rapid Support Forces on the besieged city of El Fasher and the Abu Shuk camp adjacent to it.
