The Ministry of Economy and Trade implemented a strict campaign to control violations of a number of generator owners in the north, which resulted in the seizure and confiscation of a number of violating generators, within the framework of judicial and security cooperation aimed at tightening control over the sector.
The Ministry expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by the Cassation Public Prosecutor, Judge Ahmed Rami Al-Haj, which resulted in the implementation of the campaign and the taking of measures against a number of violating generator owners.
She explained that the campaign came as a result of cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and the Cassation Public Prosecution, after the Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer Al-Bassat, had referred, last week, a number of comprehensive files that included repeated and serious violations by generator owners, to take the necessary legal measures.
The Ministry confirmed that it will continue to coordinate with the Cassation Public Prosecution and other judicial and security agencies as part of a campaign targeting various Lebanese territories, with the aim of controlling violations, prosecuting violators, protecting consumers, and enforcing laws.
