The Minister of Agriculture, Nizar Hani, sent a letter of appreciation and thanks to the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, Judge Ahmed Rami Al-Hajj, in appreciation of the efforts of the Financial Public Prosecution and the Financial Crimes Office, and for the existing judicial and institutional cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, especially in the work of oversight and inspections of dairy and cheese factories and the enforcement of applicable laws and regulations.
Hani praised “the readiness and cooperation shown by the Financial Public Prosecution during the last period,” praising its role in keeping pace with the work of the Ministry of Agriculture and enhancing the implementation of applicable laws and decisions, which contributes to consolidating oversight, protecting the public interest, and supporting the integrity of procedures.
He praised the efforts and follow-up made by Judge Maher Shaito, appreciating the cooperation and keenness he showed in implementing the law and the proper conduct of procedures, which, according to the Ministry, contributed to enhancing the effectiveness of coordination and joint work between the judicial authorities and the Ministry of Agriculture.
It also expressed its appreciation for the role played by the Financial Crimes Bureau, in the person of the head of the office, Colonel Khaled Abdel Baqi, and the efforts made by investigation sergeants Muhammad Zuaiter, Fidel Bokrum and Zaher Bu Ali, during the implementation of detection, coordination and cooperation work with the technical detection team of the Ministry.
In this context, Hani stressed that “cooperation between judicial institutions, regulatory agencies, and technical departments constitutes a fundamental pillar in enforcing laws, protecting food safety, and enhancing citizens’ confidence in official oversight,” stressing the importance of integration between the technical expertise of the Ministry of Agriculture and the judicial and security roles in addressing violations and taking appropriate legal measures.
This notice comes within the framework of the monitoring operations carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture on the agricultural and food sectors, including dairy and cheese factories, which include conducting technical inspections and following up on the extent of compliance with the approved conditions and standards, in coordination with the competent judicial and security authorities when violations are detected that require legal measures to be taken.
In this context, he emphasizes that strengthening coordination between the concerned agencies aims to ensure respect for legal and technical standards in food establishments, protect consumer health, and support producers who adhere to the required conditions, in addition to raising the level of official control over the safety of products traded in the markets.
Hani concluded by thanking and appreciating all the judges and officers involved in these tasks, wishing them “continued success in performing their duties and serving the nation and the public interest.”
