The Cellular Users and Workers Union announced in a statement, “Publishing the law related to allowing installments of the dues owed to the National Social Security Fund,” considering that “this step opens the way for addressing the outstanding files in accordance with the rules, implementing the laws and respecting the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the State Shura Council without any procrastination.”

She stressed that “this achievement came as a result of the efforts and follow-up carried out by the union and its lawyer, Ms. May Azoury, in cooperation with a number of parties, especially the representatives, the General Labor Union headed by Dr. Bechara Al-Asmar, the management and employees of the National Social Security Fund, and the management and employees of customs, with the aim of protecting the rights of the insured, preserving this national institution and consolidating its social and humanitarian role.”

She stressed that “there is no longer any justification for delaying the disbursement of end-of-service compensation or slowing down procedures, calling for accelerating the completion of transactions and avoiding bureaucracy that has burdened the beneficiaries.”

The union pointed out that it “will continue to follow the file closely,” stressing that it will not “relax in taking any serious and effective action in the event of any decline in commitments and promises, whether related to the rights of the insured or other rights stipulated in the collective labor contract.”
