Julian Alvarez is committed to leaving Atletico Madrid and moving to Barcelona during the summer transfer period, despite his club rejecting the offer made by the Catalan team last June.
“Sport” newspaper, quoting journalist Ashraf Ben Ayed, reported that those close to the Argentine striker advised him to apologize to Atletico Madrid before returning to training, with the aim of calming tensions with the players, the technical staff and the fans if he continued with the team.
But Alvarez still believes that the deal is achievable, and is considering taking additional steps to put pressure on Atletico’s management and allow his departure.
The player believes that his club did not fulfill its promise to study selling him when a suitable offer arrived, while the Barcelona administration believes that the decisive step is in the hands of Alvarez.
