
President Fouad Siniora, accompanied by the Ambassador of Italy, Fabricio Marceli, Deputy Dr. Abdel Rahman Al -Bazri, the mayor of Sidon, Eng. Mustafa Hegazy, and a number of members of the Municipal Council, Khan Al -Qishala (Homs) in the city, who is currently under rehabilitation within a project funded by the Italian Agency for International Cooperation and under the supervision of the Council of Development and Reconstruction.
During the tour, the delegation was briefed on the works completed so far, and the remaining steps were presented to complete the project, in order to ensure the revival of this heritage teacher and its transformation into a incubator for craft works in Sidon. The project aims to preserve the cultural, hands -and -hand legitimacy of the city, and stimulate the tourism and cultural movement, by providing a sustainable space that supports local craftsmen and highlights the rooted historical identity of Sidon.
