Kylian Mbappe, France’s captain, did not complete his country’s final training session on Monday before facing Spain in the World Cup semi-final today.

According to media reports, the Mbappe striker suffered a minor ankle injury during the victory over Morocco in the quarter-finals, and the technical staff decided to rest him partially during training on Monday, after replacing him in the final minutes of the match in which France won 2-0 over Morocco, on Thursday.

But the injury is not expected to prevent him from participating in Tuesday’s match.

France’s coach Didier Deschamps told reporters: “Kylian is fine.”

When asked about Mbappé training, Deschamps added: “Yes, he trained. He was allowed to perform 10 minutes in one training session instead of 15 minutes.” (Sky News Arabia)
