Surprise .. Lebanon and an Arab country destroying the largest factory of Captagon in the Middle East

A statement by the Ministry stated that “the close security and intelligence cooperation between the Iraqi Ministry of Interior / the General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs and the General Directorate of State Security in Lebanon has resulted in the achievement of a qualitative achievement represented by the detection and dismantling of one of the largest manufacturing factories of the Captagon in the Lebanese Bekaa region.”
The statement pointed out that “this achievement came against the background of accurate information provided by the Iraqi agencies, which enabled the Lebanese army in mid -July 2025 to carry out a wide operation that resulted in the factory seizure and thwarting huge quantities of narcotic drugs prepared for manufacturing and promotion, in a blow described as the strongest against the Captagon networks in the Middle East.”
He pointed out that “the General Directorate of State Security in Lebanon confirmed in an official book addressed to the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, that this intelligence cooperation reflects the strength of the relationship between the two brotherly countries, and embodies the pioneering role of Iraq in the face of cross -border threats, especially the drug scourge that is the greatest danger to Arab societal security.”
