From Tire to Nabatieh, the file of reconstruction and return was brought to the forefront, with a ministerial tour of the areas and institutions damaged by the war, in a clear message that the south is no longer just waiting for promises, but rather a practical plan that will restore life to markets, homes, and official centers.

Minister of Labor, Mohamed Haidar, visited the industrial city in Tyre, accompanied by MPs Ali Khreis and Hussein Jishi, and a number of events, as part of a tour that included the South and Nabatieh governorates, during which he inspected the commercial markets and industrial areas that were subjected to the Israeli aggression, and was informed of the extent of the destruction caused to economic institutions and facilities.

Haider stressed that what happened to the industrial city reflects the extent of the targeting that affected the economic power in the region, stressing that the people of the south are staying and will return, and that the government is determined to launch the reconstruction workshop as soon as the necessary funding is secured.

In Nabatieh, Minister of Social Affairs Hanin Al-Sayed toured the region, where she met with heads of municipal unions and mayors, and inspected the commercial market destroyed by the Israeli raids, stressing that the government is working on a recovery and reconstruction plan, the details of which will be presented soon.

Al-Sayyid stressed that the return of the people requires a sustainable ceasefire, explaining that the return plan includes providing ready-made, alternative, or temporary homes, in addition to shelter centers in cooperation with municipalities.

She announced the continuation of cash assistance through the “Aman” program, in addition to an independent emergency program benefiting 130,000 families, including 29,000 families in Nabatieh and its district, stressing that the Ministry will restore the Social Affairs Center in Nabatieh, and that the government is seeking to secure funding for the reconstruction plan in cooperation with friendly and brotherly countries.
