Kylian Mbappé, the captain of the France national team, succeeded in breaking the record of the Brazilian legend Pele in the number of goalscoring contributions in the World Cup, despite not scoring in his team’s 4-1 victory over Norway, in the third round competitions in Group Nine of the 2026 World Cup in America, Mexico and Canada.
